About the Australian Copyright Council
The Australian Copyright Council is an independent, non-profit organisation representing the peak bodies for professional artists and content creators working in Australia’s creative industries and Australia’s major copyright collecting societies.
We work to promote understanding of copyright law and its application, lobby for appropriate law reform and foster collaboration between content creators and users.
We are looking for a lawyer 3+ PAE with knowledge of copyright law to work on the Council’s legal team to assist in providing legal advice and work on Council publications and submissions.
The role offers the opportunity to deliver seminars across Australia.
You have at least 3 years’ post admission experience (with a current NSW practising certificate) with an intellectual property focus.
You are a good presenter and happy to travel to deliver seminars and training covering aspects of copyright law to creators and users.
You are a collaborative, hands on team player, happy to work autonomously and flexibly in a with no time sheets!
