Senate Committee report on Copyright Amendment Bill 2006 released
The report of the Senate Legal and Constitutional Affairs Committee on the Copyright Amendment Bill 2006 has now been released (14 November 2006). The report is available from here.
The Copyright Amendment Bill 2006 was introduced into Parliament on 19 October 2006. The bill includes amendments relatiing to:
- technological protection measures;
- enforcement
- unauthorised reception of encoded broadcasts
- time-shifting and format-shifting
- non-commercial activities of libraries, educational institutions, cultural institutions
- people with a disability
- parody and satire
- Copyright Tribunal
