UK Intellectual Property Office releases report on resale right
On 2 April 2008, the UK Intellectual Property Office released a report on the operation of the resale right in the UK over the last two years. The right currently applies only to works of living artists, but from 2010 will be extended to artists who have been dead for fewer than 70 years.
The report found that the resale right has not had a significant negative impact on the art trade in the UK.
