Who this training is for
This training is for anyone who creates or uses or performs copyright material or who advises them and wants to learn about the moral rights of creators and audio performers. For example, writers, artists, musicians, film-makers, journalists, publishers, architects, arts administrators, copyright officers, and lawyers.
What's covered in the session
In this session you will learn about the legal protection in the Copyright Act for the reputations of creators and some performers (primarily when a sound recording is to be made of the performance, so they are referred to as “audio performers”). Topics include:- when creators and audio performers must be attributed
- the integrity right and “derogatory treatment”
- how moral rights relate to copyright
- consequences of infringing moral rights
