Who this training is for
For people working in educational institutions who will attend other sessions for educational institutions that require some understanding of copyright principles. This is not a standalone session.
What's covered in the session
This session is for educators with no, or a rusty, understanding of copyright. It gives participants a grounding in copyright so that the later sessions, covering the special provisions for educational institutions, make sense. (This is not a stand-alone session: if you are not attending a later session for educators, but want a detailed introduction to copyright, please see Copyright essentials.) Topics include:- what is protected by copyright
- who owns copyright
- how long copyright lasts
- when permission is needed to use copyright material
