Georgina Waite is a Senior Lawyer with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation where she has spent the last 15 years providing advice on copyright, intellectual property, defamation, contempt and other media law issues for the Television, Radio, News and Innovation divisions of the ABC.

Georgina is also responsible for a team of lawyers engaged in drafting contracts for all commissioned and acquired content for ABC TV, Radio and Online services. Before commencing with the ABC Georgina worked for the Arts Law Centre of Australia, a Government funded advice service for artists, and started her career in as an intellectual property lawyer at Corrs Chambers Westgarth.
