Program

In the 40th year of the Copyright Act, this conference will look at challenges for the future direction of copyright policy, including:
  • how should copyright best promote innovation?
  • should copyright policy differentiate “functional” works from “aesthetic” works?
  • should some things currently covered by copyright be excluded?
  • how should copyright policy reflect the aspirations of amateur creators?
  • how should copyright policy differentiate access to information from use of content?
